In particular, information returned using the 'Australian IVF Clinic Success Rates' tool about the services offered by each clinic (called 'Clinic Services') is information supplied to UNSW by the clinics. The information presented in the 'Clinic Profile' and 'Success Rates' for each clinic is based on data supplied to UNSW by clinics as part of their data submission to the Australian and New Zealand Assisted Reproduction Database (ANZARD). Additionally, the national averages, rates and percentages are based on all data submitted to ANZARD by Australian clinics.

  1. If you are a person who is considering fertility treatment for yourself or someone else, you (and the healthcare professionals who you consult) may make use of Information on the Website for shared decision-making around fertility care and treatment provided you do not remove any copyright and trade mark notices.
  2. Except for the limited use set out in paragraph 1.2(a) you may not use the Website, or the Information on the Website, for any purpose without prior written consent of UNSW. Requests for consent should be directed to the Director of the NPESU, UNSW: yourivfsuccess@unsw.edu.au. The Website contains a variety of copyright material, some of which is owned by UNSW itself.

1.4 Third parties and links to other websites disclaimer

This website contains references and links to third party sites external to UNSW for convenience only. These references and links should not be construed as endorsement by UNSW. Similarly, the omission of a reference to any other website should not be construed as non-endorsement.

UNSW accepts no responsibility for the accuracy, currency, reliability or correctness of any material contained in external sites linked to this website. When using the links provided, you are solely responsible for making yourself aware of which organisation hosts that site, and for making your own decisions about the accuracy, currency, reliability and correctness of information contained in those linked sites.

In addition, files obtained from or through this Website may contain computer viruses, disabling codes, worms or other devices or defects. You bear the risks and responsibility for any loss or damage caused.

1.5 Copyright and Trademarks

2. Find an Australian IVF Clinic Disclaimer

In relation to the 'IVF Clinic Success Rates' section of the Website, the following disclaimer applies in addition to the General YourIVFSuccess Website Terms and Conditions of Use.

The YourIVFSuccess 'IVF Clinic Success Rates' section of the Website is meant as a guide for users to conduct their own more thorough research before deciding, in consultation with their doctor or healthcare professional, on a particular fertility clinic.

UNSW does not verify the accuracy of the information given by the clinics in the 'Clinic Services'. While every effort has been made by UNSW to ensure the accuracy of the information in the 'Clinic Profile' and 'Success Rates', UNSW cannot guarantee and assumes no legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, currency, completeness, relevance or interpretation of the information presented.

UNSW does not endorse or recommend any one IVF clinic over another on the Website. If you decide to engage with any clinic, then you do so at your own risk.

Patient medical characteristics, such as age, diagnosis, and ovarian reserve affect the success of ART treatment. Comparisons of IVF success rates across clinics may not be meaningful due to differences in patient population and fertility treatment methods. The IVF success rates displayed do not reflect any one patient's chance of success.

3. YourIVFSuccess Estimator Disclaimer

In relation to the 'YourIVFSuccess Estimator' section of the Website, the following disclaimer applies in addition to the General YourIVFSuccess Website Terms and Conditions of Use.

The YourIVFSuccess Estimator does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment options and only provides an estimate of the success of IVF treatment. The estimates generated by this tool are based on the individual patient characteristics you enter and data on cycles that have been undertaken by women having IVF treatment in Australia with those same characteristics. It may not reflect your actual rates of success during IVF treatment and is only being provided for informational purposes. Estimates are less reliable at certain age ranges and number of IVF cycles.

The User bears sole responsibility for the accuracy of data they enter in the YourIVFSuccess Estimator.

This information should be used in the context of your own individual clinical situation and discussed with your doctor and/or fertility clinician. The estimates are provided on the understanding that UNSW and its employees and agents shall have no liability (including liability by reason of negligence) to users of the 'YourIVFSuccess Estimator' for any loss, damage, cost or expense incurred or arising by reason of any person using or relying on the estimates or otherwise. Users should obtain their own independent advice before making any decisions that rely on this information.

The 'YourIVFSuccess Estimator' has been built by statistical experts in the National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit (NPESU) of the UNSW, based on data provided each year from every accredited fertility clinic in Australia to the Australian and New Zealand Assisted Reproduction Database (ANZARD). The data provided to ANZARD is independently audited. The ANZARD is managed by the NPESU.
