This website was set up by an expert working party established by the Minister for Health, the Honorable Greg Hunt MP, and chaired by Dr Des Soares on behalf of Senator Griff. The working party included representation from IVF patients, Minister Hunt, Senator Griff, the Fertility Society of Australia, IVF clinics, and the NPESU (National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit) who have developed the website.

Following the launch in 2021, the expert working group was replaced by an Advisory Committee to provide ongoing advice and strategic direction to the NPESU for the continued delivery of the YourIVFSuccess website. The Advisory Committee has an independent Chair and representation from the NPESU, UNSW (University of New South Wales), consumers, the FSANZ (Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand), the IVF Directors Group, IVF clinics, the office of the Commonwealth Minister for Health, and the Department of Health.

The NPESU is a joint research unit within the School of Women's and Children's Health and Centre for Big Data Research in Health at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney). The NPESU was originally established in 1979 as the National Perinatal Statistics Unit and has been located at the UNSW since 1997.

The NPESU undertakes national reporting of reproductive and perinatal health information and statistics in Australia. It conducts epidemiological, health services, policy and health economic research in reproductive, perinatal and maternal health. The NPESU manages a number of national and Australasian data collections including the Australian and New Zealand Neonatal Network (ANZNN) and Australian and New Zealand Assisted Reproduction Database (ANZARD).
